This ring features Athena, the goddess of wisdom and battle in Greek mythology, on the top. Compared to other openwork rings, this ring is slightly more modest and of moderate volume, so it is recommended for those who have not worn rings very often. The carving pattern on the edge and sides of the ring is designed with strong elements of Byzantine style, which is an art style developed in the Eastern Roman Empire (Byzantine Empire) from around the 4th century.
