Gobelins Stand Collar Coat

DESCRIPTION
Yohji Yamamoto 2023-24 Autumn Winter Collection.

This coat is made of gobelin jacquard with polyester yarns.

The warp and weft are regularly woven alternately, and the pattern is expressed on the surface in the same way as on the inside.

In addition, skilled craftsmen at a dyeing factory in Kyoto apply traditional Sumi-Dye, a process that has continued since the Muromachi period (1333-1573), and the coat is characterized by the warm tones unique to Sumi ink that cannot be expressed using chemical dyes.

The pattern is based on the popular "老虎残夢" pattern from 2022-23AW, and the hem is tailored with fringes.
