Norwegian Rain Collection.

This mid-length jacket is named after the Polish city of Gdansk, where Norwegian Rain's clothing is produced. This rugged jacket is based on the Level 7 Monster parka, a military jacket for the U.S. military, with a unique design. The bodice is made of two layers of quilted fabric with padding. By tying the waist cord sewn to the back of the body in front and marking the waist, the padding parts like the umbrella yoke stand up. Cashmere is used for the part of the neck that comes in contact with the skin, which is a stand-up collar, for warmth and comfort. The hood can be tucked into a stand-up collar, and a mask-like face flap mounted inside the hood is a detail that can shut out rain intrusion inside the hood and around the neck for when there are strong winds. Of course, you can adjust the distance between this face flap and your face, or you can remove it completely. Materials are bluesign-certified materials from the textile industry through a sustainable supply chain in terms of environment, labour and consumers, and the outer fabrics are made of recycled polyester with the lowest possible emissions of harmful substances. It is also designed with thorough sustainability considerations, such as using only certified cow horns for the front and sleeves.
