Adding a vest brings a layer of texture and nuance compared to just a shirt, giving the outfit a certain intellectual refinement.

Elevating Velvet for Everyday Elegance
The vest is a 6-button piece made of belted velvet material, as worn in Runway Look 12.
It features a deep hue achieved by using ancient Indian indigo dye and applying tie-dye, followed by ink-dyeing at a Kyoto dyeing factory.
By using these two special dyeing methods, the fabric has been elevated from a typically elegant velvet to a more casual material, while retaining its luxury, making it easier to incorporate into everyday wear.
The shirt selected is the String Panel Pocket Blouse from Y's for men, revived this season.
This type of shirt has also been previously offered in the Pour Homme line, but now uses cotton broadcloth that has been treated with a wash tumble process to add texture and volume.
This fabric is one of the more manageable and easily home-cleanable materials from the brand. It is also more accessible in terms of price compared to recent shirts from the Pour Homme line, making it an appealing choice for those looking for a year-round wearable shirt.
Twelve-Tuck Pants for a Signature Yohji Yamamoto Silhouette
The bottoms feature a total of 12 tucks, front and back, resulting in a voluminous wide silhouette.
Among the pants that have been recently introduced, these are a personal favorite and can be described as a standout item.
The fabric used is a more robust and textured Army Gabardine, as opposed to the brand's iconic Wrinkle Gabardine, making these pants particularly well-suited for autumn and winter looks.
