The first item introduced from NOUSAN 22-23AW is a selvedge shirt, a new model from this season.
This is a simple yet assertive piece that uses selvedge on the back of the back and cuffs. It is available in two colors, Black and Herringbone.
The selvedge is a fabric with fraying at the edges, a detail commonly known as "akamimi.
When you roll up the sleeves, you can feel the NOUSAN character in the playful accent that can be glimpsed.
The selvedge on the back is visible only when the garment is taken off, so you can enjoy the special feeling that only the owner of the garment knows about it.
Sulfurization dyeing to enjoy the change
The cotton yarn used is dyed by sulfide dyeing.
Sulfide dyeing is a dyeing method also used for denim, in which a solution of sodium sulfide is heated at high temperatures to cause chemical changes that reduce and oxidize the dye.
Although dyeing by chemical transformation is basically colorfast, the color will gradually fade away little by little through washing and rubbing, and a unique texture will emerge.
The color will change over time in a one-of-a-kind way depending on the differences in physique and the environment in which the garment is used.
Infinite Styling
The neck front is patterned to appear askew (V-shaped), showing the designer's strong attention to detail.
