This time, we will introduce the brand while looking back on the works of "Yohji New Era" that is always popular.

History of NEW ERA

Established in 1920, New Era celebrated its 100 year anniversary in 2020.

As the only official supplier of caps for Major League Baseball (MLB) players, we continue to produce a variety of products.

In 1920, Elhard Cook launched a hat company called E-Cook Cap, and in 1922 the company's official name was changed to New Era Cap.

In 1932, he entered the sports cap business and attracted attention.

In 1954, "59 FIFTY" appeared which is still used by many people even now.

Later, many works of various embroidery and coloring were developed, and it became the world's largest brand of headwear and apparel brand which everyone has heard at least once and probably seen.

The collaboration between Yoji Yamamoto and New Era began in 2013.

It was not announced as a collection but was not for sale and 59 people were chosen by lottery from among the buyers of "The New Era Book/Fall & Winter 2013", the brand book of New Era.

The brand's iconic 59 FIFTY baseball cap began with an item commemorating the 59 year anniversary.

NEW ERA designed by "Black Shock" in 2014.

In 2014, all elements were blacked out, and a work that is extremely simple yet the individuality of both resonates appeared.

The all-black design has attracted many brand fans.

In addition, as a fall/winter collection, there is a monogram design work with a brand motif, and a dog year model that combines design and cold protection with a signature logo on the back when the boa flap is lowered.

Since around this time, entertainers and artists have been wearing it and it has attracted attention.

In addition, based on the functional "DAYPACK" of New Era, this unique bag pack is available with all elements blackout.

This is the start of the "Yohji New Era Collection" which is now a standard item.

In the spring and summer of 2019, they produced works with eye-catching blue embroidery.

In the 2021 spring/summer collection, features are the works of the past generations of Yohji Yamamoto.

This brand collaborated in 2017 to produce caps, T-shirts and bags with illustrations used for art works and invitations for shows.

Paintings by painter Yuka Asakura

The cap, T-shirt and backpack have illustrations of Yohji Yamamoto and his beloved dog by Yuuka Asakura, a painter who did a mural in the Yohji Yamamoto Aoyama main store.

The well-known oval backpack "Urban Pack" in NEW ERA is introduced in the collaboration series for the first time.

Designed the artwork used in the 2016 fall/winter collection invitations.
