The introduction column for the next collection has started again, and I am the writer, Yasuda.

This project started last season, and I feel both honored and grateful to have received feedback that people enjoyed reading the articles and were looking forward to the arrival of the products.

Now, I have already introduced the overview of the 24SS Collection in the article about the recent reservation event, but I would like to delve a little deeper into some aspects that were not fully covered, through this column.

In this first article, I will introduce the 24SS RW-609 Rider's Shirt.

When it comes to Rip Van Winkle, many may think of leather items, which are also an image associated with designer Mr. Ohno.

This time, there is one type of leather item lined up, the Rider's Shirt featured in this look.

The double zipper on the front of the mountain parka, which was popular in the 23-24AW season, has been adopted for the leather type as well.

It uses the original leather of RIPVANWINKLE, which has been featured several times before, made from domestic bull hide.

This look is paired with a dolman knit and sarouel parachute pants, showcasing their signature layered style.

While mixing elements of mode, military, and sports, the inner knit S/S is styled to express an image of everyday wear.

The balance achieved is a key point here.

The pockets on the outside follow the design seen in recent solid shirts, offering a highly practical design.

They maintain just the right amount of space for holding items while serving as a moderate design accent.

A notable feature is the action pleats placed at the center of the back.

While it seems that Rip Van Winkle has put this iconic design, previously used in parkas and cut-sews, to rest for the past few seasons, its reappearance at this time will surely please old fans.

True to its name as a Rider's Shirt, it is more akin to a shirt style, and there are plans to line half of the back, maintaining an image of being effortlessly wearable, with casualness as a key point.

The sleeves come with buttons, and the cuffs are fastened with buttons, which is less of a hard zipper impression and more of a shirt element.

Recommended Style for the RW-309 Rider's Shirt

Without further ado, let me introduce the recommended style for the RW-309 Rider's Shirt.

In the collection, the accent color this time includes purple, which is featured in a long-sleeve version.

However, this inner-worn dolman T-shirt comes in a short sleeve and is exactly in a vibrant vitamin color, known for its rich hue.

Paired with black, weighty leather items, it adds a sporty and softer impression to the overall look.

Collaborative Work with Cherry Sunburst

The pants worn in this STYLING are also a collaborative work with Cherry Sunburst, which has been extremely well-received by customers and has already seen many pre-orders.

In its third season, the Cherry Sunburst item line includes four types, but these are shorts made of a new high-stretch material born from a special blend technique using two types of polyester yarns with different shrinkage properties, dubbed 'carefree'.

It maintains smoothness with less fluff, but a final washing process compacts the fabric, giving it a solid texture.

The woven label at the hem is a key detail, offering a subtle yet impactful accent in simple stylings.

This color marks a long-awaited release since the pigment-dyed items of the past collections, making it a key color to secure first.
