The BJ Tech used since the inception of RIPVANWINKLE's Mountain Parkas makes a comeback after two years

We are pleased to introduce RIPVANWINKLE's Mountain Parka today.

Although the delivery is scheduled for early November due to production circumstances, we know many of our customers have been eagerly anticipating its arrival.

The BJ Tech model, which has been used since the earliest Mountain Parkas, is set to be released.

There has been an increase in inquiries for this Mountain Parka, which utilizes the "Brain Of Japan" named BJ Tech material by Komatsu Matere, and is poised for a design update.

The outerwear using this material marks a return after about two years since the 21-22AW Spy Hoodie.

This material is known for its unique matte finish and subtle wear marks that develop over time, achieved by dyeing nylon, which is typically difficult to dye.

Its unique look has made it a well-known motif and material not only among brand enthusiasts but also those new to RIPVANWINKLE as 「the Mountain Parka from RIPVANWINKLE.」

The high-pressure dyeing process creates items that can be called the crystallization of craftsmanship, including some that may not make it to the final product stage.

Design Evolution from Past Designs

We would like to compare the design changes from past designs with this release.

The major difference is whether the sleeves are set-in or raglan. The 20-21AW model used raglan sleeves, while the 23AW model returns to set-in sleeves like the original.

It's been nearly three years since the 20AW collection was released.

Models from this period were also treated with Teflon to withstand bad weather, providing an invisible barrier and repelling rain unless exposed for extended periods.

The season's model had a spindle at the neck, but the 23-24AW model has a spindle at the hem to prevent wind from entering, staying true to the original mountain parka design.

By the way, the 20-21AW model had separate upper and lower pockets, while the 23-24AW model features large flap pockets that can be opened from the top and bottom.

Next, we introduce a styling sample with the balloon silhouette mountain parka.

As a brand that doesn't rely on complex combinations of numerous items, many people choose to prepare for winter with just one pair of pants and one inner layer.
