Yamanami Kobo was established in Konancho, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture as Yamanami Joint Workshop, and since then has produced many highly artistic works.

We will introduce the fashion label "DISTORTION 3" which is collaborated by both parties and is developed every spring summer season, with explanation of the brand.

Designer Masahiko Maruyama created "nude: masahiko maruyama".

Maruyama Masahiko was born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1968.

After graduating from a vocational school, he gained experience with several brands and established "nude: masahiko maruyama" in 1996.

The women's wear collection started in the same year, and the men's line started in the autumn and winter of 2002.

In 2007, they exhibited for the first time for ladies in "Rendez-Vous FEMME." 2008 SS exhibition, and in 2008, they exhibited for men in "TRANOI HOMME." 2008 -2009 AW exhibition in Paris.

NUDE Co., Ltd. was established in 2010, and up to the present, this brand has been presenting works in Paris, and it is one of the brands with high evaluation from overseas.

The men's collection mixes a soft image and a strong image that is not too constructive while incorporating elements of ladies.

Focusing on the texture and touch of the material itself, it is not an excessive design like the brand name "nude:", but it is a brand that pursues originality with simple design and silhouette, unique texture of the material, black based hand dye, etc.

About Yamanami Kobo.

A workshop where people with mental disorders or intellectual disabilities gather to create works of art.

In each studio, rather than working on creative activities on a daily basis, they spend time through various daily experiences in accordance with the pace and motivation of each individual, and draw out feelings of desire to create, draw, and communicate, respecting each "What do you want to do and how do you want to live?"

About PR-y.

In the 1940s, Jean Dubuffet, a French artist, proposed the concept of "Art Brut".

It is translated into Japanese to mean "the art as it is without processing."

a creation created on impulse from the root of life by the hands of people without art education (not poisoned by institutional education).

In Japan it tends to be recognized as Art Brut = art of the disabled, but in Europe it is established as a genre of art and attracts attention from various fields such as medical treatment, welfare and education.

"PR-y" unearths excellent works created at facilities for the mentally challenged and collaborates with overseas research institutes to spread the appeal of Art Brut in Japan not only domestically but also to the world.

Fashion label "DISTORTION 3" has many fans both in Japan and abroad.

"DISTORTION 3” was produced by "PR-y" and designed by Masahiko Maruyama of the fashion brand "NUDE: MM".

Every year, they present their collection at Paris Fashion Week.

"DISTORTION" means distortion, twisting.

PR-y is a creative unit that has been collaborating with Yamanami Kobo for many years to convey the artistic talent of Yamanami Kobo users and the appeal of their works.

Moved by the desire for pure creation of the people who belong to "Yamanami Kobo" and "PR-y", the clothes spun out from attractive works that are full of originality and energy beyond our preconceived ideas, are designed with "sensitivity" itself.

The creative design works are popular both in Japan and overseas, and only 3 works from our shop left.
