New items of JAN-JAN VAN ESSCHE, RIGARDS have finally arrived recently, and ZIGGY CHEN is scheduled to arrive soon and import brands are arriving one after another!

In particular, we have recently received two types of back zip boots as a new item from {{widget type="Magento\\Catalog\\Block\\Category\\Widget\\Link" anchor_text="GUIDI" title="GUIDI" template="category/widget/link/link_inline.phtml" id_path="category/16"}}, the import brand that arrived the earliest this time, so I would like to touch on those two types this time.

However, this time, rather than being a serious article like the last ZIGGY CHEN, I would like to introduce it in the form of a conversation while including the honest opinions and impressions of Mr. Morisaki and I, Kobayashi, who made the GUIDI picture book and have posted it frankly on the online shopping site.

Newcomer to GUIDI's iconic back zip boots

GUIDI - グイディ 見出し1 - 1-002

Kobayashi: GUIDI is very popular both in stores and by mail order, but it has finally arrived!

Morisaki: Well, this time, the standard items are in stock, but the two new models are similar to the standard ones, but they each come with unique items.

GUIDI - グイディ 見出し1 - 1-003

Kobayashi: Yes.

GUIDI's popular item numbers are 788Z and 988 back zip boots.

The boom of front zippers has passed, and recently backzippers and Darby shoes are becoming popular again.

This time, I tried to make a habit out of the back zip.

Morisaki: Why did you choose these heel boots and square toe boots that weren't available in GUIDI?

Kobayashi: My intention in buying this season was to buy a larger quantity of the current popular standard item numbers stacked vertically so that customers would not have to wait for them to be sold out.

Therefore, by preparing a slightly different one among the same back zippers, I felt like I selected two types of new back zippers as one of the surprises and options when customers come to the store.

Morisaki: I see. These two have very different impressions, and each one is good.

Then, let's start with heel boots.

This one has a classical impression which is not like GUIDI in a good way.

VG05 Pointed Toe Boots - Goat Full Grain Leather

GUIDI - グイディ 見出し1 - 1-003

Kobayashi: Yes.

The back zip heel boots like the M86 have been around for a while, but the heel over there was rather high and sharp, and it had an avant-garde impression.

The VG05 pointed toe boots I selected this time do not look like avant-garde heel boots, but rather look like classic heel boots that match suits like Johnny and Roy of Yves Saint Laurent, which are perfect for Mr. Morisaki's generation.

Morisaki: Johnny ... Roy ... how reminiscent  ...

The leather has a different atmosphere, but it certainly has the same feel.

There is that kind of air, but it is one piece of leather, so there is no waste, and it looks like a heel boot made from GUIDI's interpretation.

Kobayashi: That's right.

With glossy smooth leather and belt design, pointed toe 6cm heel boots that give too dressy impression are expressed in minimal with the matte texture of goat leather, so they match well with the kind of wear we handle.

GUIDI - グイディ 見出し1 - 1-003

Morisaki: Compared to 788 and 988, this item is made of soft goat leather with a gentle inclination, so the wrinkles are fine.

The heel has a slant at the front, and is made to hold down the basic of classical heel boots.

How do you feel about the size and the feeling of wearing it?

Kobayashi: As for the size, the pointed toe looks tapered and somewhat narrow at first glance, but it was so comfortable that I thought it was wider than the regular backzip series.

As for other sizes, I didn't feel that they were too big or too small, so I don't think there would be any problem if you choose the same size as usual!

In addition to the details, GUIDI's back zip boots are characterized by the shape that curls back to create wrinkles in the front, but since this model is made to suppress the slant a little, I thought it was made well that the hem is not too tight even when you wear slim pants.

GUIDI - グイディ 見出し1 - 1-003

Morisaki: When you wear thin pants, if there are too many wrinkles, you will lose the silhouette of the pants and you will be in trouble.

That's the point, and the design seems to be compatible. The shape is sharp and the volume of the upper part is also reduced.

Kobayashi: But personally, if you want to match it with something modern, I think this pair of boots would look cool and modern if you match it with a pair of semi-wide relaxed pants or slacks.

DEVOA's PTS-DTP Relaxed Pants, such as silk tweed, go well with both the material and the silhouette, so you can create a wide and long-legged style by matching it with other pants.

GUIDI - グイディ 見出し1 - 1-004

Morisaki: Those pants are made of beautiful fabric that shakes at the bottom when you walk, and they have a moderately thick silhouette, so they certainly look good.

As for the genre, it's a dress style, but it doesn't look like it's because it doesn't have glare, so it goes well with various styles.

Kobayashi: Well, the matte feel of goat leather is mature, so I think it will match well with bottoms that have a simple texture like the ones we sell at our store!

When I was in my late teens and early twenties, I mainly wore avant-garde brands such as Rick Owens and Gareth Pugh, and I liked heel boots so much that my shoes looked like a mysterious tie that I only wore heel boots basically, but the heel height of the heel boots I was wearing at that time was 11 cm or 12 cm, which was way too avant-garde. (lol).

These heel boots don't give an avant-garde impression, but rather look mature and can be worn boldly even at this age.

Morisaki: It's a mystery. (lol)

Back then, heel boots flooded the streets. (lol)

and heeled boots collectors. (lol)

Compared to the ones at that time, it doesn't look sharp and this one is much easier to wear.

Kobayashi: Right. (lol) I was one of those collectors. (lol)

I digress a little, but next is 9086 back zip boots.

This is a pair of back zip boots characterized by the square toe that I haven't seen for a long time.

9086 Back Zip Boots - Hose Full Grain Sole Leather

GUIDI - グイディ 見出し1 - 1-004

Morisaki: I like this strange shape.

It's a little cute like women's shoes.

Kobayashi: Well, actually, I don't see it often in men's fashion, and it seems that square toe shoes have recently become a trend in women's fashion, and that's why shoes like BOTTEGA square toe mules seem to have been quite popular, so I think this shape is more familiar to ladies.

Morisaki: I see. That's why I often see women wearing them.

By the way, is this only size 41?

Kobayashi You touched a painful point ...

Actually, we didn't plan to deal with this type at first, but when we ordered the customer's order, they asked us to order more than 2 pairs of new items, so we chose size 41, which is relatively in demand.

I am sorry for those who have sizes other than 41, but this is only 41 size 1 piece, so the person who fits the size wins first ...

If you need these shoes in a size other than 41, please let us know at your next collection order ...

Morisaki: It's a real situation ...

Kobayashi: Well, the point of this article is to say something realistic. (lol)

Morisaki: Yes. (lol)

This kind of thing doesn't happen often.

It's easy to see the characteristic shape of the toe, but what are the other characteristics?

Kobayashi: Yes.

Actually, the specifications of these back zip boots are totally different from those of 788Z and 988 that have been developed until now.

For example, the heel height is 1 piece of leather (about 6 mm) higher than the double sole of 788Z, and it has been set to give a more voluminous image.

Morisaki: The last is a little thinner than other boots.

As with the heel boots I mentioned before, the fit from the instep to the top of the ankle is milder than 788 or 988, probably because of the inclination of the shaft, and it feels good.

Kobayashi: That's right. I feel that the fit around the instep, which gives me the most tension, is higher than other back zip boots.

I think it is to prevent the toe from hitting the tip of the toe directly if the instep fit is weak because there is no part where the left and right fingers touch compared to a normal round toe.

GUIDI - グイディ 見出し1 - 1-003

Morisaki: I see.

What style do you recommend these boots for?

Kobayashi: These boots are characterized by the cute shape of the toe and the sense of volume, so I think it would be interesting to use the shape of the back zip with a tightened shaft to roll up the trouser pants with a tapered silhouette, or wear them with the image of showing only the square toe with thick pants.

GUIDI - グイディ 見出し1 - 1-004

Morisaki: It's true that when you look from the side, the silhouette looks much tighter than round or pointed toes, so it seems like a slight difference and gives a totally different impression.

If you emphasize the tightness around your ankles, you may understand it better!

Kobayashi: By the way, pointed toes and square toes have been added this time, and there are more options for back zip boots.

The latest new items are filled with specials like urethane, models with luminous paint, GUIDI etc. Where on earth are they heading ....

There are times when you are worried about it, but FASCINATE has a full lineup of basic standard items, so please try it on at the store!
