Hello.
This year, the rainy season has started earlier than usual, and the bad weather continues to be so bad like the rainy season...
On a sunny day, the temperature is very pleasant, and I feel free and want to go somewhere.
According to the weather forecast, the temperature difference is getting smaller little by little, and now it is the season that you can enjoy putting your sleeves on a newly bought spring and summer wear, so this time I will write an article focusing on leather sandals of {{widget type="Magento\\Catalog\\Block\\Category\\Widget\\Link" anchor_text="DIMISSIANOS & MILLER" title="DIMISSIANOS & MILLER" template="category/widget/link/link_inline.phtml" id_path="category/485"}} as shoes suitable for the coming season.
OMIKRON sandals that create a sense of the season while maintaining a heavy feel
Sandals can be said to be the roughest item in the shoe category, but they can be said to be an essential item to add a summer-like seasonal feeling to your styling.
Even among sandals, the design is unexpectedly wide, but it is difficult to imagine the item by itself, and for better or worse, it is a rough item, so there may be many people who cannot find a sandal that is satisfactory.
This is a pair of OMIKRON sandals from DIMISSIANOS & MILLER that I would like to recommend to those people.
This time, I will also introduce what I found out after I actually bought and wore them.
I came across this brand about 6 years ago when I started selling it in the store before I worked at FASCINATE.
At that time, sandals occupied most of the collection, and I remember that there was almost no development of short shoes and boots, but since then, sandals have adopted buffalo leather soles with severe embossing, and many leather sandals with rough atmosphere have been developed.
However, there were many things that I was worried about in terms of the comfort, such as the use of the hard upper material which is said to be a must-have shoe sore, but I think that the design has been made comfortable from the beginning by adopting the improved sole shape and the relatively softer upper material.
Let's start with the appearance and specs of the OMIKRON sandals.
The shape of the upper is supported by 2 points of the leather that covers the instep of the foot greatly and the ring of the big toe that prevents the foot from moving left and right.
Since the upper leather holds firmly, the heel does not float against the sole, so it is made so that the heel does not float and makes a sound like a flip-flop type.
The leather of the upper originally has strong wrinkles, but when you actually wear it, the wrinkles come out more strongly from the place where it is easy to bend due to walking, especially around the top of your thumb.
DIMISSIANOS & MILLER has a basic model that uses buffalo leather for the sole which is characterized by rough and large wrinkles, but OMIKRON sandals use Vibram's shark sole.
By using Vibram's shark sole, the weight will increase a little, but since it has a voluminous look as well as greatly improved cushioning, there will be almost no pain on the sole due to the lack of cushioning characteristic of leather sole sandals by walking for a long time.
It is also excellent as a casual item when combined with a unique item
Personally, recently I often wear wide silhouette full-length pants developed by JAN-JAN VAN ESSCHE in summer.
The material looks cool, but the full length makes it look too heavy, so you can wear sandals to make your feet look light.
In addition, even if you wear a long top or a unique outer, the rough look of your feet is too much to show, so you can wear it with a frame like an item that can be taken off.
I recommend you to choose the size by the upper fitting.
I haven't worn many sandals, but one of the problems I always have when I wear sandals is a shoe store.
Compared to normal shoes that are held on the whole upper, sandals that are pinpoint where tension is applied and that cause friction in all directions such as up, down, left and right almost always have a shoe sore somewhere.
I actually got a blister on my OMIKRON sandals, but I thought there might be some places I could avoid by choosing the size, so I will write that down.
As for the foot nude size, I basically wear size 26.5 ~ 27 cm, and any brand that has been handled in our company until now, GUIDI, EMATYTE, JAMES KEANS, etc. basically wear size 41.
I bought the sandals in size 41 this time, but basically, my instep is a little low for the shape of the foot. Maybe because the height of the upper part of the main part is a little too high, the ring part of the big toe bites into the space between the big toe and the index finger because the foot is too deep, and I feel pain when I keep wearing them for a long time even though I don't get a shoe sore.
On the other hand, there is a risk that the outer side of the little toe and the base of the toe will get rubbed with the leather of the upper and get a blister.
I think both of them can be solved by adding oil to moisturize well and softening the leather by continuing to wear them, but I think you can prevent your feet from getting too deep in the size selection stage, so if your heels don't come out more than the insole, I think it is better to basically choose by fitting the upper part rather than the length of the sole.
If you feel the leather is hard, it is recommended to apply heat
Just in case, when I consulted with the shoe repair shop that I always use, it was good to rub it with my hands, but it gives heat quickly. Even though it gives heat, if you use a hair dryer, it will cause dryness, so the best way is to warm it with your body temperature by wearing it. At the moment, I make the leather soft by wearing it continuously, but I wear it about 4 times and it is getting used to my feet more than the first time.
The one on the left in the photo below is the one that I actually wore for less than a week, and the one on the right is new, but you can see that the softness of the ring part of my thumb is completely different.
I tried to take a picture of the upper in the same way, but I gave up because the picture didn't get through easily.
For your reference, I use a product called Supreme Cream Deluxe made by Coronil.
The regular price is about 3000 yen, which is a little more expensive than other nutritional creams, but it was listed at a slightly reasonable price such as 2000 yen on Amazon!
When it comes to why it's more expensive than other shoe creams, the most important reason is the stickiness of the cream, which can be used for other leather products.
It doesn't have much gloss, so I think it's good for those who want to maintain a matte look.
According to Amazon's review, it seems to have a very good rating, so if you like it to be correct, you can try this one.
Even when I actually used it, I had an impression that it penetrated very well.
I am using this because I am concerned about the scuff on the hem of the pants since I wear them with full-length pants.
Sandals also show the insole, so you don't have to worry about the stickiness even if you take care of the insole.
If you don't care about the stickiness caused by the cream, or don't care for the insole part, or don't wear pants that are long enough to rub, I think there is no problem with the cream that can be a little cheaper.
Since the wearing period is still short, there is little change in the appearance, but I will review it if I have a chance.
I usually wear it at the store, so please feel free to ask me if you are considering buying it!
