{BRAIN SQUAT}
This collection was inspired by the 2000's English underground based music culture with dub-step or glyme for example.
And it uses the chaos and creativity of this decade.
Both with minors sub-culture elements, and glyme was especially popular among East London black people and underclass.
Dub-step became a major scene in South London.
But they both have very low sounds and a sound system.
It continues the 90's squat party as a base scene.
The squat culture has a deep history in Europe.
This is an old and very creative system showing an expression of sabotage.
From this kin of scene was born the Bronx Hip Pop unique culture.
The dub-step culture developed in the world during the 2000's and both were MC and quickly fused.
Dub-step was influenced by techno and soul, and gradually changed.
Glyme fused with hip hop, noise, and industrial style.
In this evolution there were different levels, with artists such as mumdance and kern and nick.
Now they have a strong influence from the edge cutting music, especially main stream.
This collection shows a lot the start of the dub-step, the sharkleton skull disco, the glyme, the dance hall reggae and dub artists, and a strong influence from The Bug.
All the artworks of the collection are made by Zaka Clough. He is a supernatural and skull disco style iconic painter, making art work for The Bug too.
I feel that his art represents the chaos of the 2000's English base music and iconic movement.
This Collection was named BRAIN SQUAT.
This time there are extra size, print, vintage style items,
for a different impression and quality among the same products.
