Sumi-Dyed Jacquard fabric that produces a unique look
An eye-catching fabric made of polyester yarn with a jacquard Gobelin pattern.
The warp and weft are woven alternately and regularly, and the pattern is expressed on the reverse side in the same way as on the surface.
On top of that, skilled artisans at a dyeing factory in Kyoto apply traditional Sumi dyeing, which has been in use since the Muromachi period (1333-1573), and features a warm color characteristic of
Sumi that can not be expressed by chemical dyes.
The pattern is based on the "Old Tiger Leaves A Dream" pattern, which was popular in the 2022-23AW collection.
It creates a stately atmosphere, and the hem is fringed to add a more ethnic look.
Voluminous pants with 12 tucks and clean, classy boots
These pants are made of army gabardine, which is stronger and more textured than Yohji Yamamoto's most classic wrinkle gabardine.
It features an extra-thick silhouette with plenty of fabric from the thigh down, and 12 tucks at the front and back.
This is a basic design with little detail, but it gives you a solid taste of the brand's world view.
For the footwear, Yohji Yamamoto x Guidi boots, which were much talked about at the time of the collection launch, have been selected.
Built on the ever-popular 788Z backzip boot, the zipper is positioned diagonally at the front.
The leather used is calf leather, which has a matte look and is easy to get used to, and you can enjoy a different look from the horse leather that we often order.
