Today, we are introducing a chic and mature tailored jacket style featuring a mix of Y's for men and Yohji Yamamoto, available at both FASCINATE_THE R and FASCINATE_KYOTO stores.
Y's for men's tailored jacket style combining elegance and nonchalance
Y's for men, the pioneering men's line from Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme that was most popular during the prime of people around my parents' generation in their 50s-60s, has been revived this autumn/winter season.
The brand, which was developed based on the concept of clothes that would suit a man standing next to a woman wearing Y's, is based on a tailored style that exudes masculine elegance, but has a unique atmosphere with a hint of decadence and languor that is appealing.
This time, we're introducing a chic autumn style featuring the Y's for men tailored jacket.
Model 188cm/68kg. Wearing size:jacket/size 3, shirt/size 3, pants/size 3, shoes/size 43.
A tailored jacket with a cropped design that makes it easy to wear casually yet still look sharp
This three-button tailored jacket is made of striped velvet fabric, which was worn at LOOK5 in the runway collection of Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme.
Unlike Yohji Yamamoto, which often develops asymmetrical deformation patterns, this jacket is tailored as a straightforward tailored jacket with notched lapels and three buttons.
However, this is not meant to look elegant.
The fabric is tumbled and catchwashed, and the chest pocket has zigzag stitching that looks like miscellaneous items, making this a jacket with a hint of sophistication.
In these times when it's hard to find occasions to wear overly dressy jackets, it's handy to have one sharp jacket that can still be worn casually.
If you don't have many autumn jackets, this is a good time to check them out!
Simple is best, extra-thick wide pants for those who don't wear Yohji Yamamoto
The bottoms and shoes were selected from Yohji Yamamoto.
The bottom is a pair of 12-tuck wide pants, a silhouette similar to the wide pants I wanted to get when I first saw Yohji Yamamoto's clothes as a student.
There's definitely not a noticeable detail, but I remember being drawn to Yohji Yamamoto's otherwise bold wide silhouette.
Nowadays, there are many menswear brands that offer extra-thick wide pants, but Yohji Yamamoto is still the brand that represents wide pants.
The shoes were made in collaboration with GUIDI, which was a hot topic even after the announcement of the runway collection for this season.
GUIDI's hefty feel and uniquely supple expression give them a chic impression, but since they are based on the sneaker sole product number, VS, they are very soft and comfortable to wear compared to the leather sole type.
The long back zip type VS product number is a model that is not usually available, and probably will not be available in the future.
Please take this opportunity to check them out!
