IRENISA is a brand created by two individuals: Kobayashi, a pattern maker who has worked at Yohji Yamamoto, and Abe, who has experience in planning, production, and design at Support Surface.
They are working on making clothes under the theme of "Reinventing the concept of clothing by adopting a playful spirit rather than sticking to conventional thinking. We propose a new garment that skillfully combines craftsmanship with a three-dimensional design that firmly understands the fundamentals of the mode. And it includes ideas that defy common sense. What is a garment that can be worn for a really long time, and can you find the aesthetics of perfection in the unfinished?."
The theme of the 23-24 AW collection is "Hazy Moon"
The beauty of the natural world and craftsmanship are vaguely intertwined like this season's theme "Hazy Moon" and projected onto the collection.
IRENISA clothing is patterned by the designer himself, conscious of how comfortable it is to wear, how loose it is, and how the body moves in order to look beautiful.
This season, IRENISA continues to offer coats and blousons with "modified sleeves" that can be worn beautifully by any body type, and we will be receiving melton coats and hood blousons as well.
Even when it comes to fabric, 90% of the materials used are IRENISA's original fabrics, carefully chosen for their exceptional quality and unique appearance.
This season, they also collaborated with artisans in Kyoto, and their unique striped blouson and pants were made using a technique called "scrape off".
The painterly fabric is a must-see!
Other popular tailored items, such as jackets, shirts and slacks, have a clean finish, so if you're seeing IRENISA for the first time, we recommend trying pants and shirts first so you'll understand how comfortable they are.
As for personal recommendations, I suggest two items: the hand-embroidered stitch pattern pullover knit and the new wide-leg pants called "Volume Pants."
The pullover knit features unique hand-stitched details, while the Volume Pants offer a casual and slightly oversized silhouette similar to work pants. Wearing them together as a set creates a stylish look.

IRENISA's 23AW collection is scheduled to be released around July 20th.
