Today, we introduce items made from DEVOA's Wool Super 120’s and Moso Bamboo double-faced fabric, available at FASCINATE (Shinsaibashi, Osaka).
This season, DEVOA has put a significant amount of effort and time into both the fabric and product production, with three items available: a long coat, a short coat, and a collarless jacket.
These items are representative of this season's collection.
The temperature has suddenly dropped across the country, marking the arrival of winter.
For those who are still undecided about their winter outerwear, we highly recommend these items.
Three Different Designs with Distinctive Imagery
What all three designs have in common is their minimalist approach, with minimal visible details on the surface.
They use a cutting technique that creates a three-dimensional effect while showcasing the fabric's elegance and softness.
These designs are timeless, versatile, and can be cherished for a long time.
Each item has its unique appeal, so you can choose to look elegant, casual, or classic, depending on your preference.
The jackets, in particular, can be worn as inner layers for overcoats, making them versatile choices for winter outerwear.
Long Coat
The collarless design with a slightly raised back of the neck creates a distinctive streamlined neckline.
The regular fit provides some room in the body, while the sleeves are slightly slimmer in proportion to the body, giving the overall silhouette a clean look.
Despite the slim sleeves, you can comfortably wear knits or other layers underneath without feeling bulky.
The well-crafted vertical silhouette is elegant, and the minimal contact with the skin ensures both comfort and a polished appearance.
The fabric has a solid feel that is typical of outerwear, so there is no problem even when combined with heavier materials such as leather vests.
The neck opening is set at an exquisite level, so it can be worn with a high neck innerwear.

When combined with a shirt, the styling will stand out for its elegance.
The sleek and beautiful silhouette also creates this kind of combination.
Model 181cm/62kg. Wearing size: Coat/Size 2, Shirt/Size 3, Pants/Size 2, Shoes/Size 42.
Since it is no collar, there is no leaning even if you combine it with a large-sized scarf.
Bringing volume to the neck brings the eye upward and emphasizes a vertical silhouette.

Short Coat
This short-length coat design incorporates a generously sized collar and a classic single-button style with a unique pattern for the sleeves.
It may evoke an image of the well-crafted P coat.
The silhouette is loose, with ample room in both the chest and sleeves, providing a relaxed and slightly oversized silhouette.
Its wider neckline compared to other items accommodates thick turtlenecks perfectly, and the triangular pattern when opened creates an outstanding look.
It's an item that exudes elegance while retaining a hint of toughness, complementing the premium fabric used.
When worn with wide pants, it creates an A-line shape.
Charcoal goes well with earth colors like this innerwear, but it is less monotonous than black and creates the right amount of color spread.
Model 184cm/71kg. Wearing size: Coat/Size 4, Knit/Size 3, Pants/Size 4, Shoes/Size 44.
Next up is a style that combines a leather vest and active pants.
The design includes military nuances, so it matches with this style as well.
The short length is easy to balance, and the loose, drop-shoulder silhouette goes well with loose-fitting pants.

Jacket
The jacket features a crew neckline and drop shoulders in its design.
The silhouette is similar to a coat but with a slightly roomier cut, incorporating elements of a classic work jacket.
It can be worn casually as a blouson with the front open.
Additionally, it pairs well as an inner layer with an overcoat.
Its compact length allows it to be styled with wide-legged pants for an A-line look or with slim pants for a sleeker style, offering versatility in various outfits.

Meticulously Crafted Double-Faced Fabric
The outer layer is made of Wool Super 120’s, while the inner layer is made of 100% Moso Bamboo.
These two layers are connected, creating a fabric that is relatively thick yet incredibly soft and lightweight.
The thickness and softness greatly impact the comfort of wearing the garments. Despite not using any lining, the fabric's softness and lightness are quite surprising.
If you take a closer look, you can see a melange-like texture with various shades of black, charcoal, and a slight brown tint, and white threads.
This is because they use pre-dyed cotton, known as "top yarn," to create this fabric.
Pre-dyed cotton results in a natural irregularity in the threads, which is then used to create fine Melton fabric.
The surface intentionally retains a little bit of thread, giving it a plush look.
The fabric also feels very smooth against the skin.
The reverse side is made of Moso Bamboo, a material that, despite its appearance,is incredibly soft and smooth to the touch.
Bamboo has been a familiar natural material used in various crafts since ancient times, such as bamboo horses and bamboo dragonflies.
People in the past used bamboo leaves to wrap rice balls and utilized bamboo for various purposes.
It possesses qualities such as antimicrobial properties, excellent breathability, resistance to magnetic charges even during friction, and a nearly complete absence of static electricity discharge.
In other words, it is known for being "less prone to storing electricity."
This characteristic of being less susceptible to static electricity has drawn attention in various fields.
For instance, it has been used in tasks like applying gold leaf to lacquerware, and more recently, bamboo tweezers have been utilized in semiconductor manufacturing facilities for the production of IC (integrated circuit) substrates.
Considering that a "shock" from static electricity is around 3000 volts, the actual sensation of static electricity is nearly impossible to achieve with such a low number.
Remarkably, the material used in this case has obtained patents starting from the thread level and holds medical certifications, ensuring a level of safety and functionality suitable for medical applications.
Bamboo stands out as a material that is significantly less prone to static electricity compared to common materials.
In the case of the Moso Bamboo material used in this instance, when subjected to friction tests under the same conditions and strength as Wool and Polyester, it generated only about 80 volts of static electricity, while Wool and Polyester produced approximately 3500 volts.
Fully Handmade with River Stitching
All the stitching is done by hand using a technique called "River Stitching," where the threads connecting the double-faced fabric are temporarily removed to weave the edge of the fabric inside, and then everything is hand-stitched.
This technique, often used for women's items, is a rare technique for men's clothing.
"River Stitching" requires both a special machine to evenly split the seam allowance and the skill to shape it by hand.
It is a high-level technique that is becoming increasingly scarce in Japan.
Items made using this technique are not only thick and warm but also lightweight.
They have a softer finish compared to machine-sewn items and are less prone to wrinkles.
The items also allow for easy movement, whether standing, sitting, or moving your arms.
The soft lines around the shoulders, the graceful movement of the fabric, and the ease of wearing the sleeves – you'll feel these qualities from the moment you put them on.
In fashion, every detail counts, from the seams to the choice of materials and the manufacturing process.
DEVOA's dedication to perfection is evident in each item, and their commitment to exploration and improvement shines through.
Designer Nishida humbly describes these as "ordinary things," but maintaining such an attitude is quite extraordinary.
Each item not only offers fashion appeal but also provides comfort, longevity, and various additional values.
For those seeking items they can cherish and use for a long time without regret, we strongly recommend considering these pieces.
You'll be able to feel their timeless beauty from the moment you hold them in your hands.
